Frequently Asked Questions

What is your cancellation policy?

Our boutique hotel has a 48-hour cancellation policy (unless otherwise specified in your reservation confirmation email). Cancellations made after 3PM local hotel time (2) days prior to arrival will result in a charge equivalent to the first night’s room rate and tax. Non-refundable reservations are subject to the total reservation cost.

What is your check-in and check-out time?

Check-in time is 3PM. If you know that you will be checking in after Midnight, please inform the Front Desk to avoid your reservation being marked as a No Show. Check-out time is Noon.
We cannot guarantee early check-ins. To get a better idea of the likelihood of an early check-in, we recommend that you contact the Front Desk the night before your scheduled arrival to ask if any rooms of the same type are vacant that night. If a room of the same type remains vacant, an early check-in will be possible. Late check-outs can be requested for an additional charge, if available, at the time of check-in or during your stay. Check-outs later than 3PM are subject to a full night’s charge.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept AMEX, Discover, MasterCard and VISA credit or debit cards. We do not accept cash payments.

What if the person paying for the room will not be present at check-in?

If the cardholder will not be checking in, please contact the Front Desk to ask for a Credit Card Authorization form. The cardholder must send us the completed form along with a copy of the front and back of the credit card prior to the guest’s arrival.

How late can we check-in?

You can check in as late as 3AM the day after your scheduled arrival. Your valid credit card guarantees your room. If you know that you will be checking in late, please let us know so that we do not No Show your reservation.

Are you able to hold our luggage?

While we do not have a locked room to store luggage, our guests are welcome to store their belongings in the coatroom (which is in the lobby and sometimes staffed by a coatroom attendant) on their arrival date if there are no rooms available to check into, or after check-out.

Do you have a reservation waitlist?

We do have a waitlist. If your desired date or room type is not available, please contact the Front Desk to add your name to the waitlist.

Do you allow pets?

We do not allow pets. Service animals are permitted with proper documentation at check-in. An additional security deposit on your credit card may be required.

Do you have any smoking rooms or public spaces?

No. Our historic boutique hotel is entirely smoke-free.

Is there a gym?

Unfortunately, we do not have a gym on property.

Is there a charge for Wi-Fi?

Free high-speed 1GB Wi-Fi is available in all guest rooms and throughout the hotel.

Do you have a business center?

Yes. The Business Center is open to all in-house guests for their Internet browsing, printing, scanning, and cellphone charging needs.

Do you have room service?

Unfortunately, we do not offer room service. If you would like to order food or beverage items to be delivered to your room ahead of your arrival (e.g. wine, chocolate covered strawberries, cheese platter, soft drinks), take a look at our Welcome Amenity Packages for pricing and order procedure.

Is the 3 West Club a members-only club?

While we housed in the clubhouse of the Women’s National Republican Club – a private social club founded by suffragettes in 1910 – the 3 West Club’s guest rooms are open to members and non-members alike!

Which airport should I fly into?

LaGuardia Airport (LGA) is the closest. If you plan to take a cab or shuttle to the hotel, it would likely be the shortest ride, and least expensive cab fare.
John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) is a longer drive than LGA but, if you plan to take public transportation, it is generally an easier commute into Manhattan.
Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is 2 miles further than JFK but public transportation into Manhattan is also convenient. If you plan to take a cab, it would likely be the most expensive cab fare of the three.
